Terms & Conditions

Last updated 25 June 2026

These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ZamTicket website and mobile applications. Please read them carefully. By creating an account, making a booking, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. About ZamTicket and acceptance

ZamTicket (“ZamTicket”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a trading name of Weson Industries Limited, a company registered in Zambia (PACRA Registration No. 120251021673) with its registered office at Tazara House, 6th Floor, P.O. Box 99008, Lusaka, Zambia. The Platform lets customers search, book, and pay for intercity bus travel and accommodation provided by independent suppliers.

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and ZamTicket. They apply alongside our Privacy Policy and any additional terms shown to you for a specific booking or rate plan.

2. Definitions

  • Platform — the ZamTicket website and mobile applications.
  • Customer — a person who uses the Platform to search for or book a service.
  • Supplier — an independent bus operator or accommodation provider (hotelier) that lists and delivers services through the Platform.
  • Booking — a reservation for a bus ticket or accommodation made through the Platform.
  • Rate plan — the specific price and conditions (including cancellation terms) attached to a bookable service.

3. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Platform. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when you register and when you book, and to keep it up to date.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account. Notify us promptly at info@zamticket.org if you suspect any unauthorised use. You are responsible for the accuracy of passenger, guest, and contact details you enter, as suppliers rely on them to deliver the service.

4. Our role: a marketplace

ZamTicket is a marketplace platform that connects customers with independent bus operators and accommodation providers. We facilitate search, booking, and payment, but we are not the operator of the buses or the provider of the accommodation.

When you make a booking, the contract for the actual transport or stay is between you and the Supplier. The Supplier is responsible for delivering that service and for its quality, safety, timing, availability, and conduct — including departures, arrivals, vehicle condition, room condition, check-in, and compliance with the licences and laws that apply to it. ZamTicket is responsible for operating the Platform and the booking and payment experience, but does not control and is not responsible for the underlying service, except to the extent required by law.

5. Bookings

To make a Booking, select a service, provide the required details, and complete any payment due. A Booking is confirmed when we issue a confirmation (such as a ticket, booking reference, or QR code). It is your responsibility to review your Booking details before confirming and to follow the Supplier’s instructions, such as arriving in good time for departure or check-in and presenting valid identification or your ticket where required.

Availability and prices are shown in real time and can change until a Booking is confirmed. Occasionally a service may become unavailable after you attempt to book; if that happens after a payment is taken, we will arrange a refund in line with the section below.

6. Pricing and payments

Prices are displayed in Zambian Kwacha (ZMW) and, unless stated otherwise, include applicable taxes. Depending on the service, one or more of the following payment options may be available:

  • Pay now — you pay online at the time of booking through our payment provider, Flutterwave.
  • Pay at the property — for some accommodation, you reserve through the Platform and pay the property directly at check-in.
  • Reserve — you hold a booking under the conditions shown, with payment to follow as described for that rate plan.

Online payments are processed by Flutterwave and are subject to its terms. ZamTicket does not store your full card or mobile-money details. You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide. If a payment fails, is reversed, or is charged back, we may cancel the related Booking.

7. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation and refund rights are not set by a single blanket policy. They are determined by the specific rate plan and the Supplier’s terms that apply to your Booking, which are shown to you before you book. Some bookings are refundable (in full or in part, sometimes up to a cut-off time) and some are non-refundable.

  • Always check the cancellation terms shown for your rate plan before confirming a Booking.
  • To request a cancellation or change, use the Platform or contact us as early as possible; charges may apply depending on the rate plan.
  • Where a refund is due, it is processed back through the original payment method via our payment provider, and may take time to appear depending on your bank or mobile-money provider.
  • No-shows and late arrivals are generally not refundable unless the rate plan or the Supplier provides otherwise.
  • If a Supplier cancels a confirmed service, you will be offered a refund or, where possible, an alternative.

8. Supplier terms

If you list a bus service or property on the Platform, you additionally agree that:

  • your listings, prices, availability, photos, and descriptions are accurate, current, and not misleading;
  • you will honour confirmed Bookings and deliver the service as described;
  • you hold and maintain all licences, permits, insurance, and approvals required to operate, and you comply with all applicable laws and safety requirements;
  • you are responsible, as an independent provider, for the service you deliver and for your own obligations to customers and to the relevant authorities; and
  • you will keep any customer data you receive confidential, use it only to deliver the Booking, and handle it in line with applicable data protection law.

We may set out further requirements in a separate supplier agreement. We may decline, suspend, or remove listings that breach these Terms or that we reasonably consider unsafe, unlawful, or harmful to customers or to ZamTicket.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
  • provide false information or make bookings you do not intend to honour;
  • interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, its systems, or other users’ accounts;
  • copy, scrape, or harvest content or data from the Platform without our permission; or
  • infringe the rights of ZamTicket, suppliers, or others.

10. Intellectual property

The Platform, including its software, design, text, graphics, and the ZamTicket name and logo, is owned by ZamTicket or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Platform for its intended personal or business purpose, subject to these Terms. Content you submit (such as supplier listings or reviews) remains yours, but you grant ZamTicket a licence to host, display, and use it to operate and promote the Platform.

11. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we work to keep it accurate and available, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that listings, prices, or availability are always complete or current. Because suppliers are independent, we do not warrant the quality, safety, timing, or fitness of the transport or accommodation they provide. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ZamTicket will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform or any Booking. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to a Booking will not exceed the amount of fees ZamTicket earned on that Booking. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ZamTicket and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, or (for suppliers) your delivery of, or failure to deliver, a service.

14. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Platform you acknowledge that we process personal data as described there.

15. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Platform, our users, or suppliers. Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including those on payments, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and governing law — will continue to apply.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and where changes are significant we will provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the Platform after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia. We hope to resolve any concern quickly, so please contact us first and we will try to resolve it in good faith. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Zambia.
